SAZ Certification Initiative Underway

From June 16-20, a dynamic six-member team was assembled to spearhead a capacity-building initiative aimed at achieving certification from the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ). This team was led by Ms. Moto, the Chairperson, and included five dedicated focal persons: Ms. Mbirimi, Secretary, from the ACE Division; Ms. Simango from the Commerce Division; Mr. Sithole representing the Engineering Division; Mr. Sayi from the Procurement Management Unit (PMU); and Mr. Magodora from the IT Department.

The team was in Harare, where they underwent comprehensive training and capacitation provided by SAZ. This committee had been established by the Principal to ensure that the institution met the essential standards expected in key operational areas, ultimately leading to certification.

By concentrating on the ISO ZWS 9001:2015 requirements related to Quality Management Systems and several others, Kwekwe Polytechnic embarked on a transformative journey towards SAZ certification. This initiative was not only aimed at enhancing the quality and standards of the polytechnic's operations but also at internationalizing the Kwekwe Polytechnic brand. Through these efforts, the institution strived to elevate its reputation and ensure its practices aligned with global benchmarks.
